Life with HL? Those cute, fuzzy, opinionated, sensitive, playful, not as dumb as you might think little critters? Awesome. I want to always stay small enough to be able to really know the buns. I have a lot to learn, from conformational issues to medical issues, to learning not to get so attached that I cry when I sell a bun. But it's a fun challenge, and I am grateful to all the HL people that are kind enough to answer my questions, especially my mentor Christopher at Lile's Lops (this is ALL his fault, btw), Christa Barbee of My Bunnies Galore, Lory-Ann Rubenstein of Ruby's Rabbits, and the wonderful Smith's of Nature's Nook.
If you think rabbits don't have individual personalities, you have not met Blue Belle. Egad. Some people should have so much personality. Or somber Bayou, or protective Little Lile the Last Place Lop and his Companion Miss Bun Jovi. Or crazy hop till you drop Andrew or cheerful Baloo, or "pet me before you feed me" Trust and Twilite. Or "I am squeaking at you so you will pay attention to me" Amos. Or the elegant, masculine Bentley, who could put James Bond to shame in many ways. The gentle does XC, Phoebe, Rosie, Bijoux, Berry. Benjamin, who KNOWS he is important. Buttons and Blaize, so like their daddy. Each one, every one has quirks, differences, an individual philosophy of life, which they are glad to share with any human who shows an interest. Souls? I firmly believe it. "Let every creature who has breath praise the Lord". Amen
